St louis blues coach: Drew Bannister has sign his dreams player

The St. Louis Blues prospects were once again represented well on the final day of the 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase.

Four of the six prospects that spent the week playing in the showcase were on hand on Saturday for the final day of competition, including forward Otto Stenberg and defenseman Theo Lindstein for Sweden, and defensemen Paul Fischer and Colin Ralph for USA. Defensemen Quinton Burns (Canada) and Lukas Fischer (USA) sat out of Saturday’s competition.

Stenberg, after setting up two goals on Friday, had another assist against Finland, but the Finns rallied from a two-goal deficit to rally past the Swedes, 5-3, to open the final day at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.

Finland, which went 2-3 in the showcase, was able to keep Lindstein off the scoresheet after the 29th pick in the 2023 NHL Draft had a goal and two assists in a 7-5 win against USA on Friday. Sweden finished 1-3.

And the battle between USA and Canada, USA won 5-4 in a shootout that lasted six rounds after the teams battled to an entertaining 4-4 draw.

Stenberg led Blues prospects with four points (all assists) in four games; Lindstein finished with three points in two games; Lukas Fischer had a goal and an assist in three games; Paul Fischer had two assists in four games ad Ralph was the lone prospect to play all five days and finished with an assist.
