In a preseason game, the Colts defeated the Arizona Cardinals 21–13.

The Colts picked up their first preseason win over the Arizona Cardinals Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Indiana — Indy — Indy (AP) — In a backups game on Saturday night, Jason Bean, Tyler Goodson, and Zavier Scott each scored one touchdown on the ground, assisting the Indianapolis Colts in holding off the prone Arizona Cardinals 21-13.

Following two combined sessions earlier this week, coaches Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon decided to rest the majority of their players.

Bean opened the fourth quarter by going 7 of 9 for 94 yards, one interception, and a 1-yard touchdown run on fourth down, making the most of his most substantial playing time in two weeks. Goodson, who is competing with Zavier Scott for the starting running back position, opened the game and carried six times for 35 yards and the game’s first touchdown. Through the first two preseason games, Scott has four touchdowns on 11 carries for 55 yards.

Starting for the Cardinals, Clayton Tune completed 8 of 10 passes for 79 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown run late in the first half.  completed the game with 6 of 10 passes for 71 yards. Trey Benson lifted nine tons in order Desmond Riddero Star player Caitlin Clark was among the spectators, less than twenty-four hours after recording her tenth double-double of the year and steering the WNBA’s Indiana Fever to a third straight victory over the Phoenix Mercury.

The former Iowa standout witnessed firsthand another former Hawkeye, Goodson, receiving a great deal of action. Clark will be back in action on Sunday when Seattle comes to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, which is located close to Lucas Oil Stadium.

UNIQUE DELIVERY

Due to the birth of their second child, a daughter, by his wife Cynthia, Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez was unable to participate on Saturday night.

Sanchez was replaced by rookie kicker Spencer Shrader of Notre Dame, who also served as the holder for field goals and extra points. His initial punt traveled 63 yards.
