Huge setback: fans stunned as Aston villa head coach Unai Emery just announced resignation and…..

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery was not happy with Morgan Rogers getting called up to the England U21s, but the winger showed his class as he scored a brace in a win over Austria

Morgan Rogers scored two goals for the England U21s after disagreeing with manager Unai Emery about his selection for the squad.

Rogers has made an impressive start to the season at Aston Villa, with Emery questioning why he had been picked for the “second team” and admitting he was concerned about the 22-year-old picking up an injury.

“What is a player like Morgan Rogers gaining by playing for the U21s? I am surprised,” he said. “I respect that they are not calling him for the first team, but the second team? He is not a player for the second team. Hopefully he will come back here in good shape.

“Last year, [Jacob] Ramsey came back injured and barely played all season which was very painful for us and we lost a lot without him. If they had called him for the senior team, I could understand it. Morgan Rogers is a reality now and he is confirming it – not to play for the U21s.”
