Heartbreaking news: West Bromwich Albion just announced a departure of 7 top star players

West Brom manager Carlos Corberan has a £2million release clause in his contract amid longstanding Leeds United interest.

United are continuing to keep close tabs on Marcelo Bielsa’s former assistant, who is highly regarded by the west Yorkshire giants.

That feeling is shared among numerous other Championship clubs who are admirers of the Spanish coach.

The 41-year-old joined West Brom in October 2022 and is under contract at the Hawthorns until 2027.

Corberan has been in charge of West Brom for 90 games and guided the club into the Championship playo-ffs last season but was unable to secure promotion.

West Brom currently sis at the top of the championship for this campaign after making an undefeated start in their first five games.

revealed that Daniel Farke is “under pressure” at Elland Road after Leeds’ difficult start to the season.

His job is believed to be safe for now, but the German’s long-term future is in question, and he will need to turn around the results quickly.

His future being up in the air could lead to a replacement in the future, which could open the door for a sensational return for Corberan.

Corberan was previously the Leeds Under-21 manager from 2017 to 2020, guiding the younger players at Elland Road.

In 2018 he was also made the assistant manager for the first team, working under Bielsa until 2020 when he became Huddersfield Town manager.
