BREAKING NEWS: Miami Dolphins’Has underpants Odell Beckham Jr. in debutante, entire life’
MIAMI GARDENS — Odell Beckham, Jr. had 11 snaps, two targets and no catches in his Miami Dolphins debut on Sunday.
“Not as many snaps as I thought were going to happen, just kind of the way that practice went,” Beckham said Tuesday. “But it really was a point in the season where we were 1-3, like we needed to do whatever it was to win that game. Just being able to run the ball the way that we did (193 rushing yards), to be able to just stay resilient and find a way to win, that was the only thing that really mattered going into the bye week.”
Beckham is 31 years old and this is his 11th NFL season.
Beckham really seems in a peaceful place in his life and career.
Dolphins’ Odell Beckham, Jr. seems at ease in Miami
“I think I was definitely grateful and blessed to be out there, but for me it felt like less pressure than it ever felt in my entire life,” Beckham said. “Let’s just go play football and have fun, which is a good feeling, you know, instead of feeling super worried about something else or whatever the case may be. I was definitely excited to be able to be back on the football field.”
Beckham understands Miami’s offense has many weapons. He’s just looking to make a positive impact, no matter how big or small.
“You’ve got guys who can line up anywhere and make plays with so many different options and weapons and all that,” he said. “It’s just finding ways to get people’s touches and get those playmakers in the best position to make plays.”
Dolphins news: OBJ experiences soreness in first game back
Despite the limited playing time during the 15-10 win against the Patriots, Beckham conceded soreness.
“A little sore,” OBJ said. “I didn’t even get to play that much, but it was really more so the build up to the game and how hard I practiced … It’s all about building up the calluses. These guys and everyone else across the league has gone through a full training camp, has gone through four weeks of the season. Far, far ahead of me in conditioning and feeling what it feels like to play football at the highest level.”
Beckham is learning three receiver positions with Miami, which is a change of pace.
“Playing F, or playing slot, is not something that I’ve done in my career, you know, since maybe college or high school,” Beckham said. “So it’s definitely a different world, different versions of language, but you know, I think in time, this is just more of a game to like get your feet wet, help out however I can, you know, the ultimate goal is to get a win.”
