The shocking confession about Charley Hull and Matt Belsham that could shake up the LPGA Tour.

At just 28, Charley Hull has quite a few accomplishments to her name already. Having made her professional debut at the age of 17, Hull won her first Tour event in 2016. With an excellent score of -19, she captured the CME Group Tour Championship playing 2 strokes fewer than the runner-up Ryu So-yeon. She followed that up by lifting the 2022 Volunteers of America Classic. This time around, she won the event with a 1-stroke deficit at -18.

While her accomplishments on the course are impressive, she also has a well-loved persona outside of golf. Charley Hull has made a lot of fans thanks to her honest approach towards life and straightforward attitude. We can witness a lot of it during her interviews and social media interactions.

But there is one habit that her fans are completely against. It’s not something she does in golf. Well, not during her strokeplay at least. It’s just something that her fans have often witnessed her indulge in during her off-play activities.

World No. 14, Charley Hull, is often seen holding a cigarette when she is not playing. Whether she is on a golf course or making a social appearance, you should be surprised to catch the LPGA Pro smoking the coffin nail when she’s away from the club. This habit has caught a lot of attention in the past with many of her fans commenting against it. In fact, her fans have been quite vocal about her addiction, with most of them asking her to quit the stick.

Despite all the complaints from her fans, Charley Hull hasn’t shied away from her habits. She is seen caught smoking on camera during every event. She even admitted to smoking ‘five cigarettes per round’ in an interview with Jon “Stugotz” Weiner. During an interview for The Dan Le Batard Show, she was questioned about her about her ‘John Daly-esque’ habit. Hull said, “It was pretty mad really how it all kind of took off. I was just minding my own business, signing a few autographs.” after she was photographed holding a ciggy in her mouth while signing autographs. She further added, “It actually got more… more publicity about it than shooting 67 in the U.S. Open.”
