Parker has “has one of the best football resumes of those still in the game,” head of football talent Brady Rawlings said on trade deadline night.

The former Swan spent 14 years in the Harbour City after being drafted with pick 40 in the 2010 National Draft, making a name for himself as a competitive midfielder with leadership credentials.

Built tough, Parker registered 293 games as a Swan including 26 finals. He consistently displayed his fearless attack on the contest and opponent, a trait that is set to complement the likes of George Wardlaw and Luke Davies-Uniacke at Parker’s new home.

What he brings to the Roos

The 2016 premiership player will add plenty of poise to North Melbourne’s growing backline, with his astute decision-making also key to his game.

The 28-year-old clocked 192 appearances for the Bulldogs and worked his way into the leadership group during his time at the Kennel, making him another valued acquisition for a club that has hunted experience this off-season.

Describing Daniel as “an elite kick”, Rawlings added: “He is also an experienced leader and knows what success looks like having played in a premiership, so will be able to offer plenty of support and insight to our young list both on and off the field.”
