Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen delivered a performance for the ages on Sunday, becoming the first player in NFL history to record three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns in a single game. Despite this historic achievement, the Bills narrowly lost to the Los Angeles Rams, 44-42, in a game that showcased offensive fireworks on both sides.
Josh Allen’s remarkable outing included 342 passing yards, three touchdown passes, and 82 rushing yards with three scores on the ground. His dual-threat capability was on full display as he led the Bills on three touchdown drives in the fourth quarter alone. Allen’s final rushing score, a 1-yard dive with just one minute remaining, brought Buffalo within two points of the Rams.
While Allen’s performance was extraordinary, the Los Angeles Rams had their own offensive showcase. Quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns, including a late 19-yard score to Puka Nacua, which ultimately sealed the victory. Nacua was a standout, hauling in 12 receptions for 162 yards and adding a rushing touchdown earlier in the game.
The Rams‘ defense struggled to contain Allen but came up big in crucial moments, including recovering an onside kick in the final minute to secure the win.
The matchup at SoFi Stadium was an offensive clinic, with both teams combining for 902 total yards and no turnovers. The Rams built a 38-21 lead entering the fourth quarter, but Allen’s heroics kept Buffalo in contention until the final whistle.
