FSU Football 2025 Roster Projection: State of the Seminoles on New Year’s Day
The Seminoles will have to shed some players this offseason to meet the new roster limits in college football.

As 2025 approaches, Florida State is formally entering a new year with fresh possibilities. The Seminoles made numerous personnel and coaching staff changes after a poor season last autumn. For head coach Mike Norvell, who is entering his sixth season in Tallahassee, this is as important a time as ever.

In its 2025 class, FSU has already added 32 new faces, and a few more will join before the spring semester officially begins. There are now 11 transfers and 21 high school signees on #Tribe25.

It’s crucial to remember that this offseason, college football is changing significantly. The NCAA has implemented a 105-man roster limit for FBS programs in place of the customary 85 scholarship cap. In contrast, Florida State’s roster for the previous season included 123 players. Every athlete, whether a walk-on or on a scholarship, now counts toward the cap.

On New Year’s Day, let’s examine the anticipated roster and current stats.
