Ozzy Osbourne’s Speak of the Devil is the album that changed everything for me—the spark that lit my lifelong obsession with heavy metal.

I was about 10 years old, hanging out with my grandmother’s neighbor. She was a few years older and way cooler than me. At that point in my life, my music taste consisted mostly of Mini-Pops and cartoon theme songs. I didn’t even know what “heavy metal” meant.

Then we pulled out this vinyl with a guy on the cover who looked like a vampire biker from another dimension—tattoos, fangs, and blood flying out of his mouth like he’d just chewed through a demon. I was both terrified and intrigued.

She dropped the needle on the record… and BOOM. That first riff hit me like a lightning bolt to the soul. My tiny brain didn’t have the words for it yet, but deep down I knew: “Whatever this is—I need more.”

That moment rewired me. I went from Mini-Pops to metalhead in under four minutes. I was never the same again—and I can honestly thank Ozzy for that.

Music is the soundtrack of my life, and Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath created a whole genre that has guided me through so many moments—good, bad, and everything in between. Their music wasn’t just sound; it was a feeling, a rebellion, a comfort, and an escape all at once.

From the first riff to the last scream, their songs taught me about passion, resilience, and the power of being true to yourself—no matter how different or misunderstood you might feel. Ozzy’s voice became the anthem of my youth and still inspires me today.

It’s more than just music; it’s a celebration of a legacy that shaped who I am. I hope you’ll join me in honoring the Prince of Darkness and the incredible impact he’s had on all of us.

Rock on!!
