Breaking News: Kansas State Wildcats Quarterback Avery Johnson officially agrees to a 12-year contract to…

Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson hasn’t played since December and won’t take his next snap for the Wildcats until August.

However, he’s staying busy during the offseason.

Johnson is quickly becoming a prominent figure for both K-State football and several local brands. This week, he revealed two new endorsement deals, adding to his already growing list of NIL partnerships.

The junior, originally from Wichita, already had a notable deal with Long McArthur, a car dealership in Salina. This partnership allowed him to drive a lavender Corvette Stingray and later a black Mercedes AMG GT around Manhattan. Fans have also been able to purchase his signature strawberry lemonade at stores throughout the area.

Now, he’s promoting CVS Pharmacy as the go-to spot for sunscreen before lake days (shared on Instagram) and WTC Fiber, a telecommunications provider in Wamego, as a top choice for fast internet (shared on X).

Including a deal with Booth Creek Wagyu and a potential collaboration with Godox Global photo gear, which he hinted at recently, Johnson has built one of the largest NIL portfolios in the Big 12 and possibly in all of college football.

His image is widely visible throughout Manhattan, similar to how Patrick Mahomes is a familiar face in Kansas City.

On top of that, Johnson plans to host a youth football camp at K-State later this month.

As the most recognizable player on the Kansas State team heading into 2025, Johnson had a strong previous season with 2,712 passing yards and 25 touchdowns, plus 605 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. The Wildcats finished with nine wins and capped the season by defeating Rutgers in the Gator Bowl.
