Penn State linebacker Abdul Carter is heading into the 2025 NFL Draft as one of the most highly-touted prospects in this year’s class. Carter just finished his third season as a leader of the Nittany Lions’ defense, recording 68 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and 12.0 sacks en route to the College Football Playoff semifinals. Penn State’s 2024 season came to an end with a loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Orange Bowl this past Thursday. Now, Carter has his full attention pointed toward his upcoming NFL career. Carter, the 2024 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, declared for the 2025 NFL Draft this past Friday. Carter joined James Franklin’s Penn State program as a four-star recruit out of La Salle College in Glenside, Pennsylvania. In a recent interview, he revealed it would be a “dream” to stay in state and play for the Philadelphia Eagles.
