I’M Leaving and i promise never to return: Will Campbell announce after he…

With the Super Bowl on Sunday, mock draft season is about to enter full force. After returning from the Senior Bowl. ESPN’s Matt Miller released his updated mock on Monday.

LSU’s Will Campbell was a top 10 pick. Miller slots Campbell to the Jets at No. 7.

“Despite drafting Penn State tackle Olu Fashunu with the No. 11 pick last year, the Jets could still use help in the trenches,” writes Miller.

Miller says there are questions about Campbell’s shorter arms, but his quickness and mental ability helped make up for it in his time at LSU. Miller sees a path for Campbell at tackle or guard.

“He gives the Jets another young, talented offensive lineman to build around,” Miller said.

Campbell was a three-year starter at LSU. He took over the left tackle position as a true freshman and didn’t look back. He was a key piece of LSU’s elite 2023 offense and is one of the best offensive linemen in LSU history.

LSU star offensive tackle Will Campbell is projected as the only Tiger likely to be selected on day one of the 2025 NFL Draft. While other LSU players might land in the second or third rounds, Campbell is consistently highlighted in mock drafts. Major outlets are positioning him anywhere from fourth to tenth overall, underscoring high expectations for his talent and fit with potential NFL teams.

While Campbell is a top prospect, some analysts note that other LSU players, like Mason Taylor and Emery Jones, are not expected to enter the first-round conversation, highlighting a talent gap among the draft class.
