Excited news: Led Zeppelin Release a brand new album following the documentary “Becoming Led Zeppelin “Which is…

The long-awaited Led Zeppelin documentary film Becoming Led Zeppelin will hit UK cinemas next month.

Sony Pictures has confirmed that Becoming Led Zeppelin will get an exclusive IMAX release on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th February 2025 before hitting cinemas across the UK on Friday 7th February 2025.

Tickets to see the first-ever authorised Led Zeppelin documentary go on sale from next Friday (17th January).

After a tantalising one-minute trailer premiered in December, a new full-length trailer clocking in at two minutes is available to watch below.

The extended trailer features interviews with all three surviving members of Led Zeppelin – Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones – alongside various archive photos and footage of Led Zeppelin from their childhood through to their stadia-conquering prime.

The end of the clip sees John Paul Jones admit he never liked the Led Zeppelin band name, saying: “(I was told) ‘You’re going to be called Led Zeppelin.’ I thought ‘that’s a terrible name!’ But I couldn’t come up with a better one, so Led Zeppelin we were!”

A synopsis from Sony Pictures reads: ‘Becoming Led Zeppelin explores the origins of this iconic group and their meteoric rise in just one year against all the odds.

‘Powered by awe-inspiring, psychedelic, never-before-seen footage, performances, and music, Bernard MacMahon’s experiential cinematic odyssey explores Led Zeppelin’s creative, musical, and personal origin story.

‘The film is told in Led Zeppelin’s own words and is the first officially sanctioned film on the group.’

Six years in the works, Becoming Led Zeppelin was first announced in 2019, and a work-in-progress version screened at the Venice Film Festival way back in August 2021.
