Texas’s ARLINGTON The news on Saturday that DaRon Bland will be sidelined for six to eight weeks due to a stress fracture in his foot necessitating surgery dealt a serious blow to the Cowboys defence.

After an NFL-record five interceptions returned for touchdowns previous season, Bland set a league record with nine interceptions. The injury occurred near the end of Oxnard’s training camp. A stress fracture was discovered during testing, which would probably sideline the Pro Bowl corner for two months.

The following was released by the Cowboys:

During training camp in Oxnard on Wednesday, DaRon Bland felt pain in his feet. His foot was found to have a stress fracture after more imaging. He is expected to miss six to eight weeks following surgery to fix the damage.

The Cowboys have veteran Jourdan Lewis, Diggs, youngster Caelen Carson, and second-year player Eric Scott at cornerback. Kemon Hall, Josh DeBerry, Josh Butler, and C.J. Goodwin, who primarily plays on special teams, are the other players on the roster.

Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys have reached a multiyear agreement, the team announced on Monday. ESPN and NFL Network report that the contract is for $136 million over four years.

Lamb, a three-time Pro Bowler, will now be the second-highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history as a result of the deal. A money guarantee of $100 million is included in the deal.

Lamb stayed out of the starting lineup for all three of the Cowboys’ preseason games in an attempt to get a new deal. He signed a rookie contract in 2017 and was about to enter the fifth year of its option. In the first round of that year’s draft, he was selected with the 17th pick. He is now under contract through 2028.
