After Satruday’s practice, the 2023 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year was ruled out for Monday night’s road game against the Cowboys. He was injured two weeks ago during the Thursday-nighter at the Jets. Anderson leads the Texans with 7.5 sacks and also has tallied 11 tackles for loss in 2024.
Rookie cornerback Kamari Lassiter and defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi are also inactive. The team added cornerback Jeff Okudah to the roster on Monday, and he’ll be active and welcomed starting defensive tackle Mario Edwards, Jr. back the active roster after he missed the previous four games with a suspension. Edwards grew up outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and his father played cornerback for the Cowboys from 2000 through 2003.

Mike McCarthy might not have been the most popular hire when he was announced as the new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 but he’s done a good job overall. He heads into the fifth and final year of his deal and has already won 42 games for Dallas.
That includes three consecutive campaigns with 12 wins that shot him up the franchise leaderboard.
